Your business likely needs a production printer once monthly print volume regularly exceeds 70,000 pages. Most offices print up to 50,000 pages a month, which an office MFP handles comfortably. Past 70,000, that device is running at the top of its duty cycle, which slows output and pushes up cost per page. A production printer clears the same volume faster and more economically. Yes. A production press needs a dedicated space rather than a corner of the office, typically several square metres once you allow for finishing modules and service access. Power is the second requirement: a dedicated 20A or 30A circuit, not a shared wall socket. Climate matters too, because humidity changes the moisture content of your paper and affects toner transfer and fusing, causing curl, misfeeds and jams. A stable, air-conditioned room keeps output consistent.

Oxbow configures the media profiles on your device so each stock runs at the correct speed, temperature and transfer setting, which means consistent output whatever you print on.

Just over 10% of queries can be solved remotely, while on-site support averages at 30-45 mins for a complete fix.
