Always-On Voice With Built-In Failover

A fibre outage doesn't have to mean a silent phone. Oxbow's APN voice failover automatically reroutes calls via mobile backup, built into every deployment as standard.

Telecoms That Scales With Your Business

Add a new user, extension, or entire branch in minutes, not weeks. Built for hybrid and distributed teams from the ground up.

Experience crystal-clear communication and zero downtime

A solution built around your business, delivered by one accountable provider, only means something if it holds up in practice. Because Oxbow owns the whole stack, from fibre to voice to failover, there’s no vendor handoff when something needs fixing: one call resolves it.

The APN voice failover behind your always-on setup isn’t a manual switch you have to remember to flip; it activates automatically, so zero downtime is the default state, not something you have to manage into existence. And because the platform scales with you as standard, that same crystal-clear communication doesn’t degrade as you add users, sites, or provinces. It’s the same experience at 10 employees or 500.

System Health Check

Signs Your Business Telecoms Needs an Upgrade

Telecoms technology moves fast. If your phone system or connectivity setup is more than three years old, your business is likely missing out on cost savings and call quality that modern cloud telecoms platforms deliver as standard. Watch for these five warning signs:

Created by IconPaifrom the Noun Project

Dropped Calls & Poor Audio

Frequent connection drops or choppy audio disrupt client calls at the worst possible moments. Every dropped call is a conversation you have to restart, and a client left wondering if they can rely on you.

High Maintenance Costs

Ageing PABX hardware doesn't fail gracefully. Parts get harder to source, call-outs get pricier, and the bill for keeping it running creeps up every year with no ceiling in sight. At some point the maintenance spend stops being a cost of doing business and starts being the reason you can't budget for anything else.

Lack of Remote Flexibility

If a call can only be answered from a desk in one specific building, you've already limited who you can hire and how your team can work. As hybrid arrangements become the norm rather than the exception, that kind of rigidity quietly narrows your talent pool and slows down how fast people can respond to clients.

Scalability Roadblocks

Opening a new branch, adding a team, or expanding into another province shouldn't hinge on cabling and a technician's diary. Physical infrastructure ties your growth plans to someone else's schedule, and every week spent waiting on installation is a week your competitors aren't.

No Redundancy

Most businesses only discover they had no failover the day the power goes out or a cable gets cut, and by then the cost is measured in missed calls and lost deals, not line items. Redundancy is one of those things that's invisible when it works and very expensive the one time it doesn't.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clients always ask

Unified Communications as a Service consolidates your business phone system, video conferencing, instant messaging, and more into a single cloud-hosted platform. Unlike traditional systems that lock you into rigid infrastructure with heavy maintenance contracts and limited flexibility, UCaaS gives you the same professional-grade hardware with the added freedom of cloud management, meaning your system scales as your business does. Your team can make and receive calls from any device, whether they are in the office, working remotely, or on the road. Oxbow deploys 3CX as its UCaaS platform of choice, a globally recognised solution used across more than 190 countries, and our team handles the full setup and migration so the switch is straightforward from day one.
Yes. 3CX includes a mobile app for iOS and Android that lets you make and receive calls on your office extension from anywhere with a data connection. Your clients call your business number and reach you directly, with no indication that you are out of the office. You can also access voicemail, transfer calls, and join video meetings all from your smartphone, keeping your team connected and your business running regardless of where the day takes you. Oxbow configures the full mobile setup as part of your installation, so you are ready to take calls from day one.
Yes. 3CX integrates with popular CRM platforms including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and HubSpot. Every call is automatically logged, contacts are kept in sync, and screen popping means your team sees the relevant client record the moment a call comes in, so there is no manual data entry and no switching between systems. For sales teams and customer-facing staff in particular, this kind of integration can meaningfully reduce admin time and keep your pipeline data accurate without any extra effort. Oxbow configures these integrations as part of your deployment, and your account manager can advise on the best setup for the tools your business is already running.

Yes. Adding and removing members into your 3CX system is very easy compared to traditional analogue systems. The business creates the employee an account, assigns extensions, and the port is integrated with CRM systems and ready for use.

Yes. Number portability (porting your existing landline or geographic numbers to the new VoIP platform) is standard practice. Oxbow facilitates the transfer of this data.

From initial site assessment to full installation, you can expect a timeline of 3-4 days to fully upgrade your entire communications system, often even less. Additionally, we plan our installations and changeover during non-business hours to ensure you are not missing out on any business phone calls.

Our telecoms team practices a seamless cut over to existing networks meaning we will use the existing connectivity-infrastructure already present in your environment, no rewiring. Should the existing infrastructure not be sufficient (determined in site inspection) Oxbow can upgrade this for you.

Oxbow employs a dual failover system with both APN Failover as well as secondary connectivity failover. This provides a near 100% uptime.

Our dedicated telecoms support team will respond to service queries during all business hours. Should the query require it, a technician is dispatched at the closest possible time.
Yes. Because 3CX runs in the cloud rather than on on-site hardware, a power outage at your office does not take your phone system down with it. Your team can continue making and receiving calls through the 3CX mobile app on any device with an internet connection, whether that is a smartphone on mobile data or a laptop at a remote location. For businesses where staying reachable during disruptions is critical, this kind of built-in resilience is one of the more compelling advantages of a cloud-based system over a traditional on-site setup. Oxbow configures voice failover as part of your deployment so that if the unexpected happens, your communications keep running without any manual intervention required.
Most of the time this is due to the do not disturb feature being turned on accidentally. Check whether the do not disturb feature is enabled via the icon that appears at the top of the screen. Additionally check the device has internet connection or restart the router. If the issue persists, please contact support teams.
Our dedicated Telecoms support team has a remote resolution rate of over 90% with an average fix time of 10-20 minutes. In the case where remote resolution is not possible we will dispatch one of our in-house engineers at the closest available time.

Great to see some places still doing honest business. I recently sourced an inverter for my small business from Oxbow and was amazed at how much care and consideration they gave to my purchase. I had a salesperson on site for assessment and within a week had my inverter installed and functioning perfectly. Very impressed with their service and urgency.

We recently upgraded to a Fujifilm C750 through Oxbow and the improvement in print quality has been noticeable immediately. Their technician handled everything from delivery to network setup and even configured scan-to-email for the whole team. What stood out was how smoothly the transition happened without any downtime.

We chose a Fujifilm device through Oxbow after comparing a few options. Their consultant gave us honest advice based on our usage rather than pushing the most expensive option. The machine has performed well so far. Appreciate the transparency.
