The Lux 5kW comes in hybrid and non-hybrid versions, which means the specification matches what the installation actually needs rather than forcing a hybrid where one adds no value. Both deliver 5,000W at 230V with a 20ms UPS switching time, and both accept up to 8,000W of solar array, leaving real headroom for adding panels later. The hybrid carries an outdoor rating and both are light enough to make installation straightforward.

If there is already an inverter on site, the Hina battery is the one most likely to work with it. Compatibility is published for Victron, Luxpower, Deye, Voltronic, SMA, Goodwe, Growatt, Sofar, Sol-Ark, SRNE and Must, which makes it a straightforward way to add storage to an existing installation. It parallels up to 32 units without additional hardware, and a single battery dropping offline does not take the rest of the bank with it.

Continuous Backup Power
20ms UPS switching time when the grid drops, fast enough that computers, routers and point of sale equipment stay running through the transition rather than rebooting.
A Verified Pairing
Luxpower is named on the Hina compatibility list alongside Victron, Deye, Voltronic, SMA, Goodwe, Growatt, Sofar, Sol-Ark, SRNE and Must. The inverter and battery are specified to work together rather than assembled and hoped for, and that same compatibility list means neither component locks you in if the other is replaced later.
Long-Life Battery Chemistry
LFP cells rated at 5.12kWh, 100Ah at 51.2V nominal, with active cell balancing. LFP is the more thermally stable chemistry and has become the default for residential and light commercial storage.
Solar Compatibility
Two independent MPPT inputs accepting a solar array up to 8,000W against the inverter’s 5,000W output. That is a 1.6 times oversizing allowance, generous for this class, and it leaves genuine room to add panels later without changing the inverter. PV input runs from 100V to 550V on the hybrid.
Handles Demand Spikes
The battery delivers 100A continuous charge and discharge, with peak discharge of 105A for 15 seconds and 120A for half a second to cover motor and compressor start-up. The inverter charges at up to 4,000W on the hybrid and 5,000W on the non-hybrid.
Scalable Battery Storage
Up to 32 Hina units can be paralleled with no additional hardware required. Most batteries at this capacity need a separate bank controller well before that point, so the system scales from a single home installation to a commercial site on the same components.
Fault Tolerant Bank
A slave battery dropping offline, or coming back online, does not affect the running system. One faulty module does not take the installation down with it, which is what separates a scalable bank from a chain of single points of failure.
Grid Passthrough
Maximum AC input of 8,000W at 34.7A, so when grid power is present it is not throttled through the inverter on its way to the load.
Remote Monitoring And Support
Remote monitoring and remote firmware upgrade on the battery, over CAN and RS485. Most configuration and diagnostic work is handled without a site visit.
Protected And Certified
Battery protection covers over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature, short circuit, reverse connection and low state of charge. Certified to CE, UN38.3 and IEC 62619.
Installation Planning
The hybrid inverter is 20kg at 455 × 565 × 181mm and carries an outdoor rating. The battery is 58kg at 640 × 428 × 166mm and is IP20, so it needs an indoor position such as a plant room, garage or utility space.
