Producing Bespoke Client Reports and Portfolios In-House

How Oxbow and FUJIFILM enabled a niche financial advisory firm to bring high-quality client reports, reviews, and portfolios in-house with a single booklet-ready device.

A Niche Financial Advisory Firm

Customer background

Established in 2015, this Cape Town financial advisory firm provides a niche service to private clients. In that setting the report is the product. Reviews, portfolios and client documents are the tangible evidence of the advice being given, and they are read closely. The firm had no way of producing them to that standard internally.

The Challenges

For a financial advisory firm serving private clients, the report is the part of the service the client actually holds. Reviews, portfolios and client documents carry the weight of the advice inside them, and a document that looks assembled rather than produced undermines what it contains.

This Cape Town firm knew what it wanted those documents to look like and had no way of producing them. The capability simply was not there internally, which left the quality of its most client-facing material dependent on what could be arranged elsewhere, on somebody else’s schedule.

The Oxbow & Fujifilm Solution

Oxbow arranged for the team to attend a FUJIFILM demonstration at the head office showroom. For a firm that had not produced this kind of document internally before, seeing the finished output in hand was more useful than any specification sheet. A FUJIFILM C750 with a booklet finisher was installed, chosen for its ability to produce bespoke reports, reviews and booklets to a finished standard. The same device covers internal documents and the client-facing pieces that leave the office, so the firm no longer has to treat those as two separate problems.

Oxbow installed a FUJIFILM C750 with a booklet finisher to create bespoke reports, reviews, and booklets for both in-house use and for clients.

The Benefits

All printing now happens in-house, which has given the firm full creative control over how its documents look and the flexibility to adjust requirements as each client engagement demands. Nothing waits on an external schedule any more. Turnaround has improved as a direct result, and the range of printing the firm can accommodate has widened considerably. For a practice where the quality of a client document reflects on the quality of the advice, that control is worth more than the time it saves, supported by the ongoing partnership between Oxbow and FUJIFILM.
